Professor Timothy ‘Gbenga NUBI (CHAIRMAN)
He leads work in University of Lagos to overcome homelessness and poverty through housing and urban development. He founded the Ideal Habitat Initiative, a grassroots NGO, to introduce people to a cooperative approach to home ownership through urban regeneration and new built.
His first book “Home Ownership Made Easy” was published in January 2003 and is a top seller, He has more than twenty papers on various issues on Housing and Urban Development and led the first national workshop on “Land Management and Property Tax Reform” which produced research benefits as well as practical applications to empower economically disadvantaged and homeless families in Lagos in 2003.
His passion is to find a lasting solution to Nigeria’s housing and urban management problems. He has studied both the rural and urban Nigeria for 21 years and understands its problem and workable solution which is drawn from huge exposure to best practices in USA, UK and South Africa. He also anchors Urban Planning and Housing Program on Television and also a Columnist in some national newspapers.
His current research in Lagos includes working with slum communities of Iwaya, Ilaje, Makoko, Iporin, Badia etc. He is also working on Lagos CBD and Lekki new town.He was one of the two Africans that joined other emerging global leaders from 24 countries across the globe for 2004 Eisenhower Fellowship Exchange Program in Philadelphia USA to commence a journey into global leadership and citizenship, with a tour of 20 states and attendance at workshops and conferences where he gained insight into the working and management of American cities. This huge program and contact gave him the opportunity to meet with Governors, Senators and other great men and women like Henry Kissinger – former Secretary of State and General Collin Powel.
He started his career and rose to become a Zonal Town Planning Officer in the then Bendel State in 1985. His commitment to Urban Development in Nigeria led to his appointment to the Technical Board of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) in 2006, where he played a major role in the formation and development of REDAN and served as an executive member (South West Coordinator) and worked closely with the then President, Alhaji Lateef Jakande.
He also serve in the Advisory Council of Habitat for Humanity, Nigeria and Buildswift Nigeria Ltd. Buildswift is currently working with Lagos State Government to deliver about five thousand housing units within three year through urban regeneration with Ijora Badia as pilot project.He is a Professor in the Department of Estate Management, University of Lagos, National Coordinator, Ideal Habitat Initiative, Member, Board of Trustees, Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) and Pastor, Upper Room Baptist Church, Lagos. He is happily married with Children.
Akintoye ADEOYE (VICE CHAIRMAN)
He holds LL.B (Hons) and LL.M degrees in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria; He attended The Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, and Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1993.
He has attended empowerment and leadership program and courses both in Nigeria and abroad to wit: Lagos Business School, Pan African University, Nigeria, Owners Managers Program (OMP) and Chief Executive Program (CEP) IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain, Advanced Management Program (AMP) and Real Estate Workshop in Toronto, Canada, and Dubai Real Estate Institute, Dubai, UAE. Akintoye has over 17 years of cognate working experience in both legal and real estate practice. He has participated in several real estates projects in Nigeria worth Billions of Naira.
He is the Principal Partner of Wisdom Chambers (Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria) Vice Chairman Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Director, Gain Microfinance Bank, Secretary, Board of Trustees, Salem University, Lokoja, Nigeria (A Licensed Private University) Chairman, Board of Trustees New Creations Foundation (NGO) committed to church planting, entrepreneurial development (for Destitute persons) and awards of scholarship to indigent students. He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the International Bar Association (IBA). Akintoye hails from Okeigbo, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Babatunde ONIWIDE, ACA (DIRECTOR) Mr. Babatunde Oniwide holds Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria and also Master in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Lagos, Akoka Lagos, Nigeria. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), also alumnus of Lagos Business School.During his undergraduate days, he was the LOM President of Unilorin Junior Chamber (JAYCEES) a worldwide leadership development organization and also the Editor in Chief, Accounting Panorama, journal of the Nigeria University Accounting Students Association (NUASA).
He has over twelve years quality working experience spanning through Banking as a youth corps member and auditing, before joining the employment of Corona Schools Trust Council as assistant bursar and rose to the position of Business Manager. He later had a stint at the General Metals Nigeria Ltd (an Industrial and Manufacturing company) where he was in charge of finance and administration responsible for the soundness of the financial structure and also provides operational and administrative direction for the conglomerate. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of New Creations Foundations Inc. (NGO)
He is the Managing Partner of Tunde Ade Oniwide Associates. He is happily married with lovely Children.
Adeola ADEOYE (Mrs) (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR) Adeola is an accomplished entrepreneur.She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Second Class Upper) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and a post graduate diploma of the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She has put in about 12 years into real estate practice in Nigeria starting her career with Wisdom Chambers and Properties. She has attended various strategic and leadership courses in Nigeria and abroad which include: Lagos Business School, Lagos, Nigeria (Certificate Course in Entrepreneurial Management) and IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain.
Adeola is a member of Board of Trustees of New Creations Foundations (NGO), and Proprietor, Covenant Heritage Schools, Director at New Creations Haulage and Equipment and New Creations Construction Limited. In her local church, she is the resident Pastor, Teenage Church.
Kenneth Okwudili IFEBUEME (NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
He worked in the banking industry and left as an Executive Director after 22 years. He holds a B.Sc (Economics) from the University of Nigeria and an M.Sc (Money & Finance) from the University of Jos. He attended top rate courses in Credit, Marketing, Management and Customer Services within and outside Nigeria. While in banking he held various credit and operations portfolios as well as pioneered departments, branches and regions. Kenn played a critical role in the change management that transformed Prudent Merchant Bank to Prudent Bank (now Skye Bank). His career also included stints in African Continental Bank, Chartered Bank (now Stanbic IBTC), Zenith Bank and a change management mission to Fortune Bank.
Since disengagement from active banking, Kenn has been in Consultancy applying his wealth of experience in areas of change management, project management, financial advisory and credit intermediation.
He is married and blessed with 3 children.
